Better understanding of the Earth's Magnetic Field is opening new innovations of exploratory activity in the field of Geosciences.

Magnetoelectric (ME) exploration is a geophysical science, utilizing magnetic measurements to map subsurface electrical activity associated with oil and gas accumulation. The procedure has been extensively conducted throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia for both development and exploratory drilling for oil and gas reserves, since it's conception in the early 1970s. Through the early phases of development by Dr. Sylvain Pirson and Ron Herzfeld, ME exploration has been successful in defining areas favorable for oil and gas accumulation.
